So, seems like I haven't made a new journal here in forever, so I might as well...
Classes have been extremely hectic this quarter, since I'm taking the maximum amount of classes allowed, and they all seem to think they're the only class I'm taking. That plus work and spending time with my boyfriend (who now lives SO far away!) have been sucking down a MAJOR chunk of my time.
Other than that I'm happy! Got an apartment with multiple rooms, a bathtub, an oven, and everything! The only problem is that men don't seem to know when or how to clean... C'est la vie!
Also, I want a quick heads up for who's going to AAC this year. I've managed to get enough time off to go back home for it this year, so I'm eagerly awaiting seeing everyone there! |

Posting a happy journal, because those are the rarest of the rare here on livejournal.
Mmmmm, the weather's lovely (you'd almost think it's spring today, if it weren't for the last bit of snow lingering). The quarter is nearing it's halfway point, and I'm having a lot of fun with my classes. I definitely have the most work I've had so far this year, and I've taken on a job as well, but I'm just really happy with how things are going in my life at the moment. I can't really describe it.
Also, I can't wait till summer. Hope to see at least some of you guys at Portcon! |

Yeah, just as I said, I'm just updating for the sake of updating, at the same time letting you all know I haven't died yet.
College is fun, but it's a MONSTER. There's really not much to do on campus other than to draw, watch anime, or play video games, but I barely have time for those due to classwork. The papers and reading keep piling up! Not to mention I sent my final film project for this quarter for processing, and I'm really worried about it coming back completely blank. Assuming it IS fine, I'm going to end up pulling an all-nighter editing the spools into the final work...But such is the life!
Also, just to let you guys know, I am flying back home on November 16, and I get to stay until December 1 (I'm really sorry about that, Koinu! I'll make it up to you somehow!), so if any of you are in town and free then, let me know. My boyfriend will also be coming with me, because his mom, who he would spend vacation with, is away doing flight stewardess training, so he didn't have anywhere to go.
And as an entertaining sidenote, a car passed me last night and asked if I knew where the big party was. I asked them if they had the right college. After all, they were looking for a party at a TECH SCHOOL!!! |

Now, I realize that I am a complete Flash n00b that knows nothing, and I have tried every internet tutorial there is, but I was wondering if anyone could help me with an extremely stupid problem in actionscript. I'm trying to make a doll that reacts when you click on it, but I'm not sure how to reference the symbol. How do I let the program know what to do? My current attempt is this:
on(release)
{
GoToAndPlay("Poked")
}
Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Poked is the name of the starting frame I want it to play when clicked. |

I went to the anime store with my boyfriend Roy today *pause*
and I noticed that they didn't have Fruits Basket volume 17 in the 'New' section. Instead, there was a little plastic wrapped novel of amazing called 'Fruits Basket Fanbook -Cat-' that has EVERYTHING you'd ever want. Colored illustrations, a full synopsis of the story so far, extensive character bios, and merchandise information. It is amazing. It costs $11, but it is fully worth the buy. If you can't find it, let me know, and I will try to pick it up and ship it to you. It's highly suggested to have. |

For those of you watching my deviantart account, I apologize for slacking on pictures. I am still making art, but I have about 5-6 WIPs, and haven't had the time/available medium to finish them. Thus, I will post as soon as I get lucky. |

Usually, I use Deviantart to post amazing info, but as of right now it's down due to a power outage there...
